SEEKING
Band to Join, Vocalist - Baritone, Lead Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar, Fiddle, Upright bass.ABOUT
I have played professionally (meaning "for money," however little that might be!) since I was 15, and I am well over 50. I played in a road band in 1976-77, house band from 1982 to 1985, and all other gigs were weekend work. The smallest group I've worked in was a trio (keyboard, bass drums) and I have played in several horn bands with up to 14 pieces. My late husband and I played together for 36 years. I retired from teaching middle/high school choral music and currently teach voice and piano in my home. I have only gigged a couple of times (as a substitute) since moving to the Atlanta area 2 years ago.

Influences
I enjoy listening to a variety of music from classical and a cappella to bluegrass. I enjoy playing almost anything---if it sounds good, it feels good for me. I have never cared that much for Southern Rock, but some of my fondest memories may be playing "Gimme Three Steps" at 2 in the morning somewhere. I would rather sing a harmony part than a solo---being the voice that controls a suspended chord is sweeter than ice cream to me. I guess you could say that I've been influence by everything I hear, good or bad...

EQUIPMENT
Keyboards - Roland 88 key piano, Korg piano synth, Kurzweil piano/synth, Yamaha electric grand (seldom use anymore due to moving its massive weight) I can easily get by with just the Korg piano/synth.
Several small amps. Would rather play direct through PA with small amp as monitor if possible.
Various pedals, cords, stands, mics, etc. (Own quite a few inherited guitars I can't play as well.)
