ABOUT

61 year old bass player. I am working at this time and would just like people to jam with...but I do like to work on specific tunes. I am thinking tunes from the real books. The last few weeks I have been playing Autumn Leaves along with a recording of Miles Davis and Cannon Ball Adderly. Before that I was working on Sunny Side of the Street, practicing different keys and feel by playing along with recordings by Louie Armstrong, Willie Nelson, and Frank Sinatra. I like playing along with Louie Armstong best. Before that i was playing Chains by the Beatles and also a version by Carol King. I have played bass in Rock and Blues bands. trumpet in high school band, trombone in college jazz band and trombone in a soul band. I recently played jazz bass a little bit in basement and living room groups. would like to do that again.

Godin 5 string bass that has a 13 pin synth connector that I play through a Roland VB99 bass synthesizer...I use only one model setting: Old Wood bass. It gets a cool upright bass sound.
