Hey all, I'm Erik, a rhythm guitarist, moved to Olympia from Huntington Beach in 2015, and am looking to start up a punk/heavy alternative band. Played in a classic rock covers band for 14 years down in CA, but my heart is in punk and alternative. Covers with some originals. Simple, straight-forward and aggressive stuff like Adolescents, Zeke, Stooges, Circle Jerks, Black Flag, Descendents, Guttermouth, Pennywise, D.I., Me First & The Gimme Gimmes, etc. as well as some simpler grunge/stoner heavy rock/metal/thrashy stuff, like Helmet, Alice In Chains, Quicksand, Toadies, Kyuss, Unida, QOTSA, etc. Prefer no drugs (pot or alcohol ok, as long as you can still play semi-competently), no 'emo' (unless by that you mean Fugazi, Drive Like Jehu and Rites Of Spring, they're cool).
Becoming famous obviously isn't a high priority, just wanna have some fun and bash out some rad heavy and hard tunes!

All the above-mentioned bands, basically, but also the usuals... Ramones, Pistols, Buzzcocks, NY Dolls, Black Sabbath, Zeppelin, etc a lot of 'grunge', stoner metal, classic and heavy rock/metal in general, hardcore punk.
