ABOUT

Shine Through Shadow is a new innovative act incorporating a Hardcore attack with an emphasis on intensity and explosive melody. Each member brings their tastes and influences to create a truly diverse sound and unique listening experience.

The band started with the hopes of playing shows with the many talented local bands in Little Rock, Arkansas. We have been heavily influenced by Lamb of God, Behemoth and Unearth among many others. We try to portray a positive attitude with a focus on strength and the power to overcome. God plays an important part in our song writing ritual. As Jesus said, “For behold, I, God, have asuffered• these things for all, that they might not suffer if they would repent; But if they would not repent they must suffer• even as I; Which suffering caused myself, even God, the greatest of all, to tremble because of pain, and to bleed at every pore, and to suffer both body and spirit—and would that I might not• drink the bitter cup, and shrink”

Shine Through Shadow consists of Michael Christian (Vocals), Edward Nicholas Rand IV (Rhythm Guitar), Steven Christian (Lead Guitar) and Jeff Millerd (Drums) and not to forget our inspiration "Sexy Vixen" ~Kris~ Branson (local fashion model) Management.

The band started when the brothers Steven and Michael began debating heavy music amongst each other at family functions. After much talk of starting their own band, they finally decided to give it a shot. After finding out that there was a musical connection between the brothers, they posted an ad at the local Guitar Center. The ad was immediately responded to by Jeff Millerd and the three began their journey into the abyss of Metal Mayhem! While trying to find a second guitarist to help fill out the line-up, Michael made the other two aware of his friend Ed, a prominent local musician in the area and instantly felt a connection with Ed. This band has been writing together ever since.

We also want to thank Signature Studios for their patience and professionalism in the recording process.
