Being modest and honest, I will tell you that I am not a phenominal fiddle player! For as long as I have been playing the violin/fiddle, you need to know that I am under exposed to the music industry, as I chose to be a mom instead of be serious about my talents! However, that said, my children are about grown so its time to follow some of my dreams that have been on hold while I put my family first!! In the past year I have become the most serious about music and playing! It is in my heart and soul! And I am busting at the seams to be the best fiddle player anyone has ever seen! Being under exposed I have been and continue to be taking steps in every way I can to better myself and enhance what the Good Lord already gave me! To learn things faster than trying to figure it out over time! You know, a finger slide here or double stop there! Now that i've told you im not a phenominal fiddle player, I will tell you that I take pride in knowing that I AM a great fiddle player! I do know very well how to handle my fiddle! Just listen to any of the songs I put on here, because they all will be songs that I play, and well I might add! I am a "by the ear player".. Means I can listen to a song and play it! However, I can read music too! I started out in an Orchestra in School when I was about 12/13 yrs old! So my first 3 years I was Suzuki Violin Trained! Then I moved to Florida where they didnt offer it in School, and thats when I discovered that I could listen to music and learn it note for note! Not too long ago I won a musical instrument talent contest in crystal river fl.. The prize was 4 hours in a recording studio and 20 copies of my cd! Having never been in a recording studio before in my entire life, I was a little nervous, little scared, didnt know what to expect kinda thing! But from the first song I did that he played back for me,I was like "is that me!" All I can say is Wow, what an experience that was! I thought, if I ever had any doubt or lack of confidence in my abilities that by the time I was done I walked out of there with complete confidence in myself! 7 songs, less than 3 hours, and only re-did one song completely because I didnt like it! Some of my recent endeavors include playing with Mckinley and Beggs, a Country Duo out of Bronson, and playing out to Karaoke with the singers at some of our local bars!
