FIVE LIVE - A TRIBUTE TO THE MUSIC OF THE YARDBIRDS. Experience British Blues Rock rarely heard played live since the Yardbirds came onto the music scene in the 1960's. Historically, The Yardbirds were spell bound by the deep southern blues that they heard coming from America in the late 50's and early 60's. They took this raw melodic and soulful music, electrified it, and added their British touch and had hit after hit that America and the world couldn't get enough of. They paved the way coming to America in the first wave of the British Invasion playing concerts, televison appearances, casuals and even high school dances to get their name out there in the early days. Legendary young guitartists like Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page pioneered a new sound that set the standard for British and American Blues Rock. Jeff Beck later formed THE JEFF BECK GROUP, Eric Clapton went on to the power trio CREAM, and Jimmy Page co founded LED ZEPPELIN with Robert Plant.
