About

We are the Flat Broke Band from Chickasha, Ok. We are a working cover band playing a wide variety of songs across several different genres. We play mostly southern and classic rock with some blues and outlaw country thrown in. We have developed a very guitar driven sound as we've evolved over time, and feel that our sound is pretty unique. We like to take cover songs and work them in a way that is fresh, unique, and modern. We practice weekly in Chickasha and play paying gigs almost every weekend. We have recently lost outr lead guitar player due to having to move out of state. We still have gigs booked at this time and need a player. We are seeking someone permanent, but would not rule out a fillin player for the time being. Our expectations in a player are decent gear (your own amp), willingness to accept and offer criticism, and willing to practice once weekly in Chickasha, and availability to play gigs on Friday and Saturday nights. Also, we are not looking for EGOMANIACAL players. We have no ego or drama issues, and will keep it that We play several different venues regularly that include several bars and nightclubs as well as local casinos.

We have a very wide range of influences, but here are a few.

Led Zep, CCR, Skynyrd, Neil Young, Crue, Metallica, Black Crowes, Grateful Dead, Hank(sr and jr), Haggard, Robert Cray, Clapton, and the list goes on and on.

Equipment List

We have a pretty decent PA to practice and gig out with. We use quality mics (shure 58's mainly), and practice and gigging amps. We own our own practice space, so there is no issue there. Equipment is never an issue for us, as we reserve a portion of pay from each gig to bank for equipment and merchandise (t-shirts, etc)purchases.
