I'm in my late 30's and have been playing bass for over 25 years - want to find a group of people who like to play (and are good) but have no professional aspirations. I have a steady job and a family and they come first. Having said that: Interested in everything from MMW, Miles Davis, Jimmy Smith, Phish, The Meters, Charlie Hunter, Allman Brothers, Herbie Hancock etc... you get the picture. I saw a friend of mine get steady work (for a local band) with this kind of mix. I can dedicate one night a week for practice and would like to gig at least once a month, possibly more if everything clicks.
This is a brand new project so still feeling it out - May have a drummer but we want to have a full ensemble before we run over anything. Vocal ability a plus.
