Fear of Addiction is a SO Cal Based Hard Rock/Heavy Metal band established in 2002. FOA is currently working an an Album and Music Video.
Fear of Addiction was founded in 2002 by Alvin Walker (Guitar/Vocals) and Jose Rincon (Lead Vocals). Don Laminero (Bass) and Michael Vea (original Drummer) joined the band a few weeks later to form the original band Fear of Addiction in Long Beach, CA.
Jose joined the Army and was deployed overseas in late 2004, after hearing the news Mike Vea left the band in 2005 to join a new band. When Jose returned in early 2006, a search began for a new drummer. Matt Linares was an early favorite and was unanimously selected to replace Mike's vacant spot as the drummer of Fear of Addiction. The band began to revamp there style with the addition of Matt. Fear of Addiction produced an Albums worth of songs during 2006-2007. In 2007 Jose was re-activated and sent to Iraq to fight in the war. Alvin and Don decided to work on other careers while Matt worked on other projects with other bands. In 2008, when Jose returned for Iraq, there were plans to revamp the Album production; however, Matt enlisted in the Army as well and was quickly sent to Iraq himself for a year long deployment to the “sand box”. In late 2012 all members were finally ready to continue the work they had begun and played a reunion show at the Pacific Marina Hotel in Long Beach, CA.
The Band is currently working on a new Album. The album release date is yet to be announced.
