Singer/ keyboardist/ song writer looking for other female or female friendly musicians to form an indie/ synthy, concept or progressive rock band.
Right now I'm looking for a guitarist, a bassist, a drummer/ percussionist, and MAYBE another keyboardist. It's a plus if you can also sing (I'm actually looking for someone who can grind their voice (I have a mellower tone and I female with a lower/ darker/ raspier tone would be a good contrast.) I'm welcome to accepting other instruments if you have a clear idea of where you think your playing would make the sound complete.
Must be available to practice at least twice a week, It will be very valuable to me if you can also read music but playing by ear is acceptable. Classically trained musicians are great (I'm one myself) but please be comfortable with improvising once in a while. I welcome anyone who is interested in helping me write the songs too.
While I like acoustic music I want this to be a band that can play in venues... not coffee shops and such. So some sort of non practice amplifier for your instrument is ideal.
