I am currently playing with Bluffton band MUDDYCREEK. I play many styles, though limited to 4 showing on this site's genre selections. When playing acoustic guitar, I prefer to comp and sing back-up (natural with harmonies) in rock/roots/folk/blues styles in a rhythmic approach. Mostly, I have been playing Staxx/Volt-type soul and r&b for many years on alto, tenor and baritone saxes and flute, and I write horn section arrangements for this style, rock, and more. I have been playing big band jazz for a number of years, am an intermediate-level reader, and sing standards in this style. Recently relocated to South Carolina, I would like to collaborate with others in all the above styles, and more. FGSchuetzAtJahooDotCom

Influences
Very divergent influences. Studied classical approach on piano and flute, and listened to jangle rock/pop in the 60s. Grew into a performer listening to (fusion) jazz and playing (classic) rock by ear with a specialty of Jethro Tull (rock) on flute in the 70s. Took up blues in the 80s and soul, r&b and big band jazz in the 90s. And have been playing whatever I can get away with ever since.
