ABOUT

With influences from blues legends like Elmore James & Bo Diddley you can image what a Slidewinders show is like. Hard driving, slidewinding blues. Fred Heath’s Blues.

Fred Heath has been an active constituent of the San Diego Blues scene ever since he was a member of Tom “Cat” Courtney’s infamous band, The Blues Dusters, way back in 1978. Through all of the changes that have taken place in the ever evolving Southern California Blues arena, few things have remained as solid as a night of Blues with Fred & his Slidewinders.

Fred Heath & His Slidewinders have had the opportunity to jam with some of the best in the business. Besides his close friend Tom Cat, Fred has been known to share the stage with other Blues legends like the late, great Pee Wee Crayton, Los Angeles’s Smokey Wilson & his idol since childhood, Bo Diddley. His name is a well known icon among fans who frequent the “Real” Blues Venues in San Diego.

If the “Real Blues” is what your looking for, you found it: Fred Heath & the Slidewinders.
