About
Currently Seeking: Bass Player
Over the years as music has lost its originality, where America is listening to pop/top 40 radio stations that saturate the airwaves with boy/girl groups trying to bring back punk, there comes a mixture of free-formed bass driven guitar and passionate haunting vocals from Frenchy and the Ferals.
Frenchy and the Ferals was founded by a true independent singer/song writer Carolyn Kurtz, whose influences range from Sharlene Spitieri (Texas) to New Order, The Smiths & U2. Her uninhibited and sometimes pained lyrics are the infusion of both bittersweet love and erotic suspenseful rhythms that will take the listener on a musical adventure into the deepest emotional crevices of the soul.
Her entrancing song writing of the first single “Electric Bliss” to come from the long awaited EP “What?” shows the desire and passion that Carolyn has deep within her about love and life. Frenchy and the Ferals songs have a substance and a groove that keeps you coming back for more.
Frenchy and the Ferals have become regulars at the venerable Poor Davids Pub in Dallas and can also be seen playing at several of the venues in the Lower Greenville and Deep Ellum area of Dallas. From the heart wrenching song “Blue” to the uplifting love song of “So into you” Carolyns powerful stage performance captivates the audience with her addictive songs and melodic rock.
As you listen to "Frenchy & The Ferals", close your eyes and retreat into that silent, wild, beautiful mysterious place. You will never feel alone, and you will always be free.
