Is everyone out there so scared to try to write an original song that they have condemned themselves to playing someone elses songs for the rest of their lives? Doesn't anyone out there have any balls anymore, or are you all just a bunch of wishy washy, insecure couch potatoes?!?!
Lets get together and write some kick ass music and enjoy OUR OWN LIVES INSTEAD OF WORSHIPING SOMEONE ELSES ACCOMPLISHMENTS FOR A CHANGE!!!
COVERS ARE SIMPLE TO LEARN AND PLAY, ORIGINALS ARE WHAT SEPERATES THE MEN FROM THE BOYS AND THE WOMEN FROM THE GIRLS!!!
Played in pro caliber metal and hard rock bands. Played around Chicago and the Burbs. Looking to fill the musical void that seems to always be there. I'm a talker when it comes to improv or leads, with technical flares when appropriate. Speed is not a problem. Open minded musically. If I was to join a band with full commitment, it would have to be a group where everyone could easily discuss things, give and take constructive criticism, and considered each other as more than just business partners. Also, it would have to be a mostly original band. I try to write my originals with groove & feel. They are sometimes dark, melodic or heavy, powerful or blues based. I like heavy metal but not pure speed and no feel. I love a good rhythm (can you tell?)I also like classical, jazz, & blues etc.. Don't mind getting a little political with the lyrics occasionally.
Have a couple dozen original Ideas that I think are relevent to todays scene and I'd like to develop them along with yours if an original band is formed. Would like to do some session work in the studio. Recording demos for bands I've played in is the extent of my experience.

Influences:

Any Blues and classic rock, heavy or hard Blues rock, heavy rock with lots of feel,& mature lyrics. Dark gloomy melodic metal. (Started to list individule bands but there isn't enough space or even time in a week to do that). Love to listen to old country but I've never played it. That is what I grew up listening to most of my youg life. Also like all kinds of pop, easy listening, jazz & classical(Listen only).
