I am a Springfield,Mo area Bass Player with over 35 yrs experience.
i like to play mostly R&B Soul
music as well as Blues and
Classic Rock. New rock doesn t
do much for me because at my age, I m not trying to score a record deal as a "fresh new rock act".
I like a variety of music, but my heart is in the Soulful stuff with
a bluesy feel, and some rock influence, because I grew up playing Rock with early influences
which I will mention in the "influences" area.

Influences:

Grand Funk,Beatles,The Who,Led Zep,J Geils Band,Delbert McClinton, Sam and Dave, James Brown, Freddy King,Robben Ford,
Pat Travers,Bugs Henderson,Robert Cray, Albert Collins and thousands of others.
I don t care for modern country because they are mostly "selling out" for the almighty dollar. It seems to be more about image than good music.

Equipment List:

I play Fender Basses, and Hartke speakers. I often use a Hartke Bass head, but sometimes use a power amp and pre amp. I use a minimal of effects(chorus,envelop filter,compression) because they tend to take away from the "punch".
I like to slap and use 10 inch speakers for that purpose.
