About Future: BIOGRAPHY
Future has spent most of his life as a public performer. At age 14, he first discovered that he had a gift for singing while attending Haven Middle School in Evanston, IL. An impromptu solo in front of his chorus teacher fueled his passion and love for music. At the age of 15, he joined a five-man R&B group known as, "Something Unique". As a group they found a manager, began performing at local talent shows, community events, recording jingles, as well as making television and radio appearances. A difference of opinions eventually forced a split among the members. Future continued performing locally until deciding to move to Cincinnati, OH, where he longed to build a stronger relationship with his father. It was after moving to Cincinnati, OH, that Future learned the meaning of discipline and hard work. "In my father's house you lived by one of two rules, work and go to church or school and go to church, either way you're going to church." Future attended regularly at a small nearby local church where he became actively involved in the choir; however, his occasional gospel solos were not enough to quench his thirst for stardom. Eventually he began writing, producing, and performing his own songs. After vacationing to Florida several times, Future decided to relocate to Orlando, where he began performing on a regular basis at The Motown Cafe at Universal Studios City Walk. Thus far, during his solo career, Future has had the opportunity of booking several performances at the Midwest Regional Black Family Reunion, performing at several showcases for passthemic.com, and has received radio attention from 100.9 The WIZ for a song that he both wrote and produced called “That Vibe”. Future has also rubbed shoulders with stars such as Martin Lawrence, Ginuwine, Joey Fatone, and the legendary Johnny Wright, who has managed acts such as the Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, and Brittney Spears. The two (Johnny Wright and Future) had the opportunity of meeting at an audition in Orlando, FL for FreeLance Entertainment where Future tore the roof off of Planet Hollywood with his rendition of Blackstreets “Don’t Leave Me”. His ultimate goal is to sign a major recording contract. Who knows where Future will turn up next. With his vocal capabilities the sky is the limit.
His musical influences include, Stevie Wonder, Jodeci, Donnie McKlurkin, Fred Hammond and Marvin Sapp.
