Band to Join, Keyboard, Other Percussion, Drums, Vocalist - General.
Bassist for 25 + years, I play upright and electric as well as some guitar, baglama saz, and a little mandolin and ukulele. I have played in many different style bands over the years from heavy to cinematic and have played shows from NYC to L.A., and Toronto to Austin. I am now mostly interested in something more atmospheric/ethereal/experimental, especially blending of different types of music. Something in the Shoegaze/Dream Pop/World Music/Folk Noir/Alt Country realms, or a hybrid of these styles... I am also a big fan of Middle Eastern influenced music, such as Beats Antique, Dead Can Dance, and Niyaz/Azam Ali. I am putting together something different and original (some covers, but redone ), and would like to swap between electric and acoustic mode, and maybe switch instruments around.
Dead Can Dance, Sigur Ros, Niyaz, Alice in Chains, Radiohead, A Perfect Circle, The Church, Cocteau Twins, Echo and the Bunnymen, Massive Attack, Peter Gabriel, The Pale Saints, Curve, Slowdive, Beats Antique, Love Spirals Downwards, The Cure, Death Cab for Cutie, The Shins, Mike Ness, Decemberists, Iron and Wine, Stray Cats, Rev. Horton Heat, Tool, Mazzy Star, Trespassers William...
