Versatile Drummer Available; Can move right in & keep your band gigging. Reads & writes music charts. Currently freelancing, doing fill-in work.
Plays all kinds of rock (classic to modern), blues, traditional and today's country, funk/R & B/Motown, rockabilly, jazz/swing, including originals and cover band situations.
Always interested in exploring new situations.
When situated locally, aside from gigging, I am actively teaching drums.
Available for local, regional & national touring situations. Able to gig nights and daytime, everyday of month.
Growing up in NYC afforded Gary an incredible opportunity to study with respected drummers and educators and having performed in a multitude of diverse musical situations. Currently located in Cherry Hill, NJ and very close to Philly and to Atlantic City areas. Willing to travel. Available for regional, national, & international tours. Performed in the pit band for a local licensed Broadway production of Spamalot (2010) at the Ritz Theater in Oaklyn, NJ. Currently working with several local bands ranging from corporate/catering gigs performing rockabilly, blues, jazz, modern rock and classic rock bands.

Influences
Tastes in music & influences range from blues, rock, pop-rock, jazz, funk, fusion, R & B, Motown, dance, country swing, Rockabilly, traditional country & today's country, jazz to ragtime to swing to bebop, & new age / orchestral.
Rock influences range is enormous; anything from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rolling Stones, Green Day, Black Crows, Maroon 5, Match Box 20, Pretenders, Tool, Little Feet, Government Mule, Traffic, Lamp of God, Dave Matthews, Dixie Dreggs, Kansas, Phish, Phil Collins, Jeff Beck, Andy Timmons, Tony MacAlpine, Jimi Hendrix, E. Clapton, Beatles, Stones, Gin Blossoms, James Gang, Peter Gabriel, Boomtown Rats, Bryan Adams, Genesis, Journey, Cream, Steve Winwood, and everyone in between. I could go on and on naming groups & artists.
Regarding Country, I prefer cross-over modern country/rock to authentic country, e.g., Rascal Flatts, John Michael Montgomery, Brooks & Dunn, Tobey Keith, Sugarland, Faith Hill, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, and the list goes on and on.
Regarding jazz, blues, & funk influences; Charles Mingus, Joss Stone, Galactic, Weather Report, Herbie Hancock, Cal Tjader, Miles Davis, Sue Foley, Yellow Jackets, Wes Montgomery, Gary Moore, Sue Foley, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Tony Levin, Booker T and the MG's, Otis Redding, Stevie Wonder, Mike Mainieri & Steps Ahead, Steve Smith & Vital Information, Johnny Winter, John Mayall, Chick Corea, John Coltrane, Medeski, Martin & Wood, Bruce Hornsby and so many other jazz artists.

(6) Small PA system comprised of a 10-channel mixer, mains/monitors, a complete set of drum mics and various rack mount effects and drum triggers.
