About
I've been performing for over 5 years in Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia Band tributes. I am no longer with these bands. I've also been playing for more than 15 years in various Blues and Rock cover bands. I'd really like playing the music of the Grateful Dead and the arrangements of the Jerry Garcia bands.
I've played songs in that time by Ray Charles, Bruce Springsteen, Beatles, Stones, Van Morrison, The Doors, The Band, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, Willie Nelson, Dion, Clapton, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, Steve Winwood and, of course, The Grateful Dead.
Influences
I've been influenced by Pinetop Perkins, Keith Godchaux, Leon Russell, Nicky Hopkins, Bill Payne, Booker T. Jones, Brent Mydland, Greg Rolie, Bruce Hornsby, Ray Manzerik, Commander Cody, Dr. John, Fats Domino, Johnny Johnson/(Chuck Berry), etc.
Equipment List
Hammond XK2 (single manual) organ. Kurzweil SP2x 88 key stage piano. Motion Sound 3D keyboard amp with built-in rotary speaker for that "Leslie" sound.
