My name's Gary D'Angelo. I'm 18 years old and am looking to start/join a band in the Central Florida area. I've been in 3 bands already but all have broken up due to different tastes in music and/or lack of commitment. I'm really interested in being in a punk band, but will play mostly anything that's upbeat and kind of fast. The better the music is and the tighter the band is, the more commited I will be.

Influences:

I'm mostly into punk and ska. Bands like Rancid, NOFX, Minor Threat, Op Ivy, Bouncing Souls, Pennywise, Less Than Jake, Supervillains, RX Bandits, Anti-Flag, Bad Religion, Millencolin, Suicide Machines, Strike Anywhere, Rise Against, etc.
Other bands/musicians that have influenced me are Rush, Chicago, Incubus (the older stuff), Rage Against The Machine, Something Corporate, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Elton John, Taking Back Sunday, Thrice, and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Equipment List:

I have two basses: an Ibanez GSR 200 which was my first bass and a Fender Deluxe Active Jazz Bass. I use the Fender most of the time. I was using an SWR 80 watt amp for about a year then I accidently blew it up while trying to fix it. I'm planning on having a Hartke cab or an Ampeg cab along with a Hartke head within the next month or so. I also have a few effects pedals. I have a Digitech Bass Csompression Sustainer, a Dunlop Crybaby wah pedal, Boss EQ, and DOD Envelope Filter.
