Hi folks! Geoff here. I am the new drummer for Atlantas hottest original progressive metal band, V.O.R. ( Void Of Reason for you inquisitive types ). We will be laying waste to clubs all over Atlanta real soon with the help of Pathfinder Promotions and of course, you our fans out there. Check out our latest gig videos right here on my BM page. HD for the techno geeks out there!

V.O.R. is:
Dan Scott-Vox, guitars, keys and synths
Rob Fisher-Vox, bass and guitar
Will Jones-Vox and guitars
Geoff Stephens-Drums and percussion

My background-I started playing drums almost 20 years ago with hitting pillows and pans on my bed until finally graduating to a full size Tama drumkit mashing out AC/DC and Zeppelin tunes. From there I picked up the prog-metal/rock playing style of Neil Peart and Scott Rockenfield of Queensryche. Later on I concentrated on classic rock drumming with a "less is more" approach using a small kit with single kick pedal and very few cymbals. The idea was to be inventive using less equipment as possible. Recently I played with the Mackie Creek Band and learned the country-style of drumming along with utilizing my classic rock influences. Finally I am rekindling my love affair with metal drumming but with sort of a Neil Peart twist to it. One day I hope to dive into some fusion/jazz or even Big Band swing style of drumming down the road.

I also have about 18 years of guitar playing under my belt. Although it has become more of a hobby at this point with all the drumming opportunities I have been blessed with as of late. My favorite all time band is by far...Led Zeppelin with Rush a close second. I love plugging in my Les Paul on special occasions to hammer thru some old Rush or Zep tunes.

Thanks to all who support V.O.R. and check us out at WWW.VOIDOFREASON.COM
