Producer, Songwriter, Arranger, Composer and Lead Guitarist George Jacobs has teamed up with the legendary Rippingtons and Sax Great “Eric Marinthal.”.

The Rippingtons formed in 1986 by guitarist and band leader Russ Freeman, their career has spanned two decades. In the early to mid 90s they were more of a jazz/rock instrumental band, but since 1999 they have developed more into the Smooth Jazz genre. Many of their songs have also been played during The Weather Channel's local on the 8's forecast segments.

Eric Marienthal has played on over 50 GRP records alone including records by Lee Ritenour, Dave Grusin, David Benoit, Currently, Eric is signed to the Peak Records label, owned by Rippingtons founder Russ Freeman.

The first radio single set for release on July 1, 2008 “East” spotlights George Jacobs talents with a mix of smooth jazz and a soft rock approach that blends an amazing acoustic and electric guitar playing that sounds like sax or vocals. This project is sure to crossover into multiple radio genres and will generate mass consumer appeal as it targets both a young and old audience demographic.

George Jacobs formerly known in the 70’s as George Tacktikos was lead guitarist and writer for “Chango” a Latin rock group. The first album was # 4 on radio playlists and also on Billboard Magazine Charts. Their second album was released on Atlantic Records. Chango's album sold over 300,000.00 copies in 3 months.

George has toured with music icons Tina Turner, Journey, Styx, Leslie West, Chick Corea Robin Trower and more.
