When I was 14, my father bought me a guitar. It was a copy strat that came with a really small and beat up guitar amp that might as well have been just a speaker with a plug. Years later, my mother and her husband bought me a peavy amp for christmas. I played at church (mainly just strumming a key) and practiced often, but nothing really structured. Many years later, my guitar and amp was lost to a pawn shop, and I stopped playing all together.

In December 2012, for christmas, I received a Fender Squire HSS Stratocaster in the color green, since it was my favorite color. Ever since, I've been learning new things everyday, recording my practice sessions, and learning songs, on my own.

I'm very focused on learning and getting better. I've learned quite a bit I think in a short time without ever having any kind of lessons. I'm hoping to find folks I can jam with who can also somewhat mentor me as my skills progress.
