ABOUT

Hi all,

I've not been on this site for some time as I really have been focusing on other things but I am ready to get back to gigging(or at least for now, tightening up a set list to gig). The best description I could give is to say I am looking for players who would be interested in covering the entirety of Dr. John's 2012 album 'Locked Down' If you don't know it, check it out. This is what I am going for.

Influences

I have been in casual, serious and friend situations since I was 12. I have also been collegiality trained in jazz and classical(a little rusty on the Classical but love classical percussion). My influences range the gambit. I have just as much passion working on covers from Queen as I do Pharrell or Lady Gaga. I have just as much passion working on originals that pop-based as I do jazz originals.

EQUIPMENT

Instead of listing my equipment (because let's face it, if you're not a drummer, do you really give a shit about my equipment?) I figured I would throw down a set list of covers I would like to work on to give a sense of what kind of shit I am looking to do. These are not in any specific kind of set order:
1. Presidents of the United States-Peaches(with added jam in the vamp before the last chorus)
2. Can't you hear me knocking-Rolling Stones
3. The Stranger-Billy Joel
4. Fat Bottomed Girls-Queen (again jamming off of the last vamp)
5. Superfly-Curtis Mayfield
6. The Changeling-The Doors
7. Thriller-Michael Jackson
8. Pass the Dutch-Missy Elliot
9. Burning Bridges/ Dear Rosemary-Foo Fighters
