What I feel like doing is putting together a Modern Rock, Classic Rock, Southern Rock cover band together for the purposes of having fun. nothing serious other than to be tight enough to gig of course.
Some of the bands I'd be interested in covering include:
Modern Rock -
Creed, 3 Doors Down, Collective Soul, Foo Fighters, Blues Traveler, etc

Southern Rock -
Lynyrd Skynyrd, Black Crowes, Allman Brothers, etc

Classic Rock: Hendrix, Cream, Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy, KISS, Black Sabbath, etc.

Now, to me that looks like a pretty tough line of acts to cover, but I'd be up to the challenge of trying to do it.

I'm a big blues fan and have played blues for years so if we could find a way to slip some blues in that would be fine too.

If we felt like doing some reggae I'd be up for that too, but for the most part I'd like to try and do mainly a rock project; Contemporary and Classic/Southern Rock.

In a perfect world where I had all the free time I could ever wish for I'd probably be in a rock band, a blues band, a reggae band, and funk band. In the past the best I've been able to do is try to fit it all together in one band.

I'm looking for a band that is interested in practicing once a week on the same day every week if possible. I'm interested in gigging on weekends. I'd be ok with occasionally gigging Fri and Sat, but I'm more interested in only playing Fri or Sat. I've been in numerous different bands since high school playing mainly blues, classic rock, contemporary rock, and some funk and reggae thrown in the mix. I'm interested in exploring different facets of music and jamming to see what kind of sounds and feel may come out from the band. I have a family and a well paying day job so I have no interest in being a professional musician at this time. In the past I've written lots of music and have recorded in the studio and had released an album a few years back.
