DOES ANYONE WANT TO CREATE, RECORD & PLAY SOME ORIGINAL ROCK, ALTERNATIVE ROCK, POP & HARD ROCK MUSIC in the styles of many artists and bands from the late 70's, 80'S AND 90's like the AC/DC, SCORPIONS, POLICE, SQUEEZE, RUSH, DIO, PRIEST, Van HALEN, OZZY, QUEENSRYCHE and others!
All it takes is ONE SONG to make it! How about a GRAMMY? Sounds like a goal! WHERE ARE ALL THE MUSICIANS & Singers WHO GREW UP AND WERE INSPIRED By ALL The BANDS / ARTIST'S ABOVE?? COME ON ALREADY!! WHAT HAVE YOU GOT TO LOSE?? We are NOT getting any younger and I think time is still on our side!
I have been playing guitar for over 30 years. Love to write/create RHYTHM/melody driven songs with a DRIVE and GROOVE. I have no insane ego; just the desire to play. I'm a young, healthy, fit 54 with loads of energy looking for others to work/play with. I know there are others like me; but maybe you think you 'lost your chance', or you are too old... I say BULLsh*t to that! I have a God given gift and a dream; a dream to make it that I believe others have as well. DONT GIVE UP!
My goal is to work on recording originals; I have a good deal of original compositions that could surely use a better singer than myself and I would very much like to work on them with others who could make them even better and give 'us' that sought after 'ONE SONG' that makes it.
I know finding 'like minded' musicians/singers in the same age bracket is not so easy, as is setting aside necessary time in order to get something going. Also, a decent place to rehearse, get together may be an issue. I live down the road from a rather well known local venue and will attempt to contact someone there and see if I can strike up a deal allowing 'us' to use their stage and sound system to rehearse/work on original compositions at a fair hourly rate that however many of us there are, we would share the cost of. Where I come from, we had our pick of rehearsal / recording studios that charged per hour. Other than that, my garage studio is decent for a few people to work out song basics, simple jams, etc., but once it came to adding some serious loudness, my space may not do. If we had or again, could rent for a small cost, a large barn or other air conditioned space, then that may do and then we would need a p.a. system and more gear. But it has to start somewhere and somehow. So, this is how it starts... with an ad and contacting others. So, here is my ad and contact info.... give me a holler!
I am not much of a singer, but for my material, I can get the job done, but I have no problem with someone else who can do the job better than me...but, try it my way first.. then we can see how 'your' ideas and voice work. That goes for the music too. I am no better than anyone else and do not measure others. I am me. I know what I want (I hope so) and expect nothing from another that I don't expect from myself.
My schedule is pretty flexible during the day, some days work better than others. I have enough gear to do the job whatever it may be.
