The funkadelic-soulternative development of sound is knocking at your door. Two brothers from California and a drummer from Virginia meet in the heart of Tennessee to create the musical world of H-Beam. H-Beam travels through the improvisational-rock scene through their diverse musical influences, from progressive-rock to metal to funk to folk to psychedelic to classic song-based rock-and roll, all strung together with irreplaceable melodies, thought-provoking lyrics, classic harmonies, and rollicking grooves that keep those crazy souls on the dance floor. Better get the door...

Members Of Band:

Matthew Walberg was born and raised in the hills of Los Angeles, CA. Striving in Music comes natural to Matt as his parents both have extended backgrounds working in the entertainment industry. Although Matt was down the coast from Golden Gate Park, the musical influences of old Height Ashbury ring clear in Matt’s musical stylings.

Picking up the guitar at age 14, Matt quickly learned through the acoustic roots of folk music. Moving to Nashville at age 19, Matt developed the stapled Murfreesboro party band, the Hollywood Band. Eventually, he and brother Topher began H-Beam

Pulling from his own mind as well as artists such as Jerry Garcia, Jimmy Page, David Gilmour, Trey Anastasio, and Dave Matthews, Matt keeps the melody ringing throughout H-Beam’s musical sagas.

Like his older brother Matt, Christopher Walberg is no stranger to the world of entertainment. Taking hold of the Hollywood sign at an early age, Topher played lead roles in Nickelodeon’s “Hey Arnold” and Spielberg’s “Little Giants.” However, the silver screen was no match for the power of funk that waited inside him.

Topher was 17 when he was asked to play electric bass for Matt’s California band Soul-Trip. The problem was, he had never played one. Within three months, Topher was playing his first full show. He moved to Nashville in 2004 to work with Matt and their dream.

Bootsy Collins, James
Brown, Bjork, George
Clinton and Stevie
Wonder are the
sounds that
guide him.

Aaron Faust grew up in the outskirts of Richmond, VA. Aaron began playing drums at the age of 10. A young friend at his church turned him onto the glorious beat of the drums and he’s been a force of rhythm ever since.

In Virginia, Aaron played drums in the regionally successful band The Richard Jeffee Projects. After a few CD releases, Aaron left the band and Virginia behind for the sounds of Nashville. Meeting with Matt and Topher only a day before their H-Beam debut, Aaron fell right into the groove.

Stuart Copeland, Staton Moore,
Aaron Comess, and Carter
Beauford are some of the
masters Aaron has drawn
from.
