Harp player looking for band
47 year old harmonica player/vocalist looking for musicians (bass, 1 or 2 guitars, drummer, others possible) to get together on a regular basis (1-2 times/mo. for starters) for jam sessions. Villa Park area, just as a suggestion, but if someone else can host I can travel. I've been a working musician with CDs and contacts, and I'm looking for reliable people to start up the band again. I'd be happy with a regular basement jam session, and that's primarily what I'm looking for, but if it grew into a group that would be reliable for gigging, we’d start to call it rehearsing and do it more often. If you’re looking for a low-key, friendly situation, if you play for fun but wouldn’t mind making a little money, maybe if you’ve gotten away from playing and want to get back to it, let me know.
I'd like to be playing a lot of blues, and would probably start there, but I'm looking for open minded guys with a lot of influences and ability. Classic rock, country, R & B, acoustic not required, but it would be fine if it developed that way. No metal, please, and be the kind of musician who listens while you’re playing.
Just to let you know, I've had a baby recently, and I'm looking for something that would commence in October, so this is a long term thing. I'd respond to any email immediately, though.
Email me at paulwheeler818 on hotmail if the above seems interesting. Thanks.
