The sound we are looking to capture is a really heavy, rhythmic, alternative rock with definate hooks mostly sang but with some screaming intertwined. Overall we want to have the maximum sound resources possible with the minimum number of members. The current members of the group have deep roots in albuquerque in where every musician has at least six years experience in gigging bands. We are a newly formed band. We currently have a drummer,guitarist/vocalist, and have a committed third member that would play keyboards/dj/vocals. We are still in limbo with whether or not to add that 3rd element and we're open to switching that position out with a a really talented dj/keyboardist type with a love for heavy but catchy music. All of us are in our early twenties and are looking for members preferably in their twenties (but not close minded to anyone) who consider themselves very creative and well versed on your instrument. We are looking for an experimental lead guitarist, a bassist that doesn't just follow the guitar and actuallly adds something different on their own, and possibly the keyboardist/dj type. The ability to sing (at least backup vocals) is not required but it's a definate plus.
Tool, Nirvana, Mr. Bungle, Avenged Sevenfold, Nonpoint, Black Sabbath, NIN, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Pennywise, Life of Agony, Killswitch Engage, CKY, Queens of the Stone Age, Mariyln Manson. Anything else that Rocks but still manages to get stuck in your head...In that really good way.
Your amps need to be big enough to play a good size bar without the assistance of a PA. Must have adequate power
