ABOUT

6 string bassist looking to play heavy/death metal with crushing brutality, but not afraid to play occasional softer clean parts. I'm not a bassist who will just sit back playing open strings on a distorted channel with a pick while the guitarists wail away at their guitars. I am a bassist who prefers a distinct sound that stands out, keeps up with the guitars, and cuts through the mix like a hot knife through butter. I have 6 strings and 24 frets, and I intend to use every note. I am not looking to play deathcore, as I am not a fan of 2bpm opem string breakdowns.

I play with my fingers on a clean channel with a touch of distortion for flavor, but prefer not to play with a pick or heavy distortion.

I also play 8 string electric guitar, but have found that I prefer to play bass more, and am more suited to play bass live than guitar. Unfortunately due to medical bills, I have sold most of my rigs on both ends, but still have enough to play bass for practice, and during small to medium shows.

Oh, birds and dank memes too

EQUIPMENT

Ibanez BTB686SC Terra Firma 6 string bass, played exclusively with fingers but I suppose I'm pick friendly. To be converted to fretless as soon as financially possible, if not completely replaced by new fretless.

Fender Rumble 100 bass amp, 100W 1x12, fit for practice and small to medium venues.

Jackson SLATFXQMG 3-8 8 string guitar modded with a Seymour Duncan Pegasus/Sentient combo and dual coil splits.

Line 6 Spider Jam guitar amp, 75W 1x12, fit for practice but probably not venues.

Cockatiel (careful, he bites)
