im dave. ive been playing drums for about 9 1/2 years, and bass for about 5 years. i dont practice that a ton, so im not too fantastic. primarily, i like drums anyway. i play a wide variety of styles, but like to stick with the rock and punk type stuff. ive been working on a lot of hardcore and metal lately as well to tighten up double bass and improve speed. i am a pretty dedicated christian, and prefer the band i play in to be as well. im not looking to be in the overly "preachy" in your face type band. a band with good solid morals, and not quite so "direct" lyrics is what im looking for. i played for a band called "the ending up" for 2 years. we toured out west to colorado, down to texas, out to the east coast, and pretty much everything in between with a band called "me in motion" who just signed to word records (warner brothers). for right now, im looking for a band who can do shows primarily on weekends as i have 2 jobs and a house right now and can only afford to play weekends. long term, i plan to go full time. as soon as i sell the house, im good to go. or the band can move in. ive done that before. its a good time. id like to find a female fronted band. not a must have, but would love to give that a go. im not a paid member, so drop me a line at thealmightyandpowerfuldave at yahoo dot com. thats all i can think of for now. holla.
