We are looking for someone to complete our band. Our current bass player has become too busy with family and work to meet the demand of the growth we have in front of us right now. Hoping for some fresh energy and a great attitude. Someone skilled enough to jump right into our current material, but also who is creative and open and willing to write/create new amazing music as well.

Cellar Door is a Portland based alternative rock band originally formed by college roommates Hanley and Carmine. The two collaborated for years writing music, gigging throughout the Eugene and Portland area, with several musicians before joining up with current drummer, Maier, and bassist Houck. The foundation of the music starts with Carmine’s melodic guitar work and unique chord selection. Carmine writes ultra-catchy progressions that are kept simplistic, allowing the other band members to be creative. Cellar Doors rhythm section applies interesting off-beats and powerful grooves. Hanley, a gifted front man, has a wide vocal range. He can sing or scream as inspired by the music. His theatrical background translates to his on-stage performance. Cellar Door’s music is versatile and dynamic, often bridging from hypnotic melodies to powerful crescendos. No two songs are alike, but each one is distinctly Cellar Door.

Cellar Door released its EP, Right Here, Right Now, July 2013 as part of its first recording with newly formed Portland Label DRD Records. Our latest EP Bi-Polar is expected out early summer 2016
