A gifted vocalist with more than 20 years dedication to musical expression. Powerful, rich, unique, provocative, classy... all are synonymous with the chameleon style and diverse range Shelley delivers to her audience. Shelley began her solo musical career in Northern California as a lead vocalist with bands of all influences and musical styles. She then formed her own band "Orpheus" and performed contemporary rock and rhythm & blues in major area nightclubs. Anxious to expand her musical expression, Shelley studied jazz, and reestablished herself as a local "must-see" in Northern California. She went on to perform jazz, big band classics and contemporary songs with an 18-piece big band based out of Colorado. Known as "Stinger", the bad toured extensively throughout the southwest, performing for numerous special events and nightclubs.In 1983, Shelley moved to Phoenix. Fulfilling her desire to perform live, she formed "Standing Room Only", created exclusively for one night engagements such as weddings, corporate events and other private parties. A six-piece variety band with four singers and a play-list of more than 400 tunes, "Standing Room Only" became one of the valley's most popular “casual” bands. Shelley also performed with two music & dance act shows; the "Cantina Show", where she belted it out as the headliner singer and MC - Miss Lulu, and with a big band 1940's act "Timeless" where she sang sweet harmonies with 2 other women as the Andrew Sisters. Shelley also receives bookings as a solo performer, she has sung at many sports events, Sunday services, wedding ceremonies and is also an experienced studio singer having sung on numerous local and national jingles. Currently, by day Shelley works as a Voice--over Artist, Voice-Over Coach and Audio Engineer with her own company “Voice Production Studios”.

Influences:

Influenced by Bonnie Raitt, Billy Holiday, Judy Garland, Barbara Streisand, Tina Turner, Julie London and even Jimmy Page, Shelley is a master of expression and emotion. Whether performing get-down rhythm & blues or beautiful Jazz ballads, Shelley sets the mood with her captivating stage presence and innovative vocals.
