Hello Everyone! Thanks for taking sometime to take a look at us. I know it's not much right now but we're working hard. So we are The Rest Is Silence, and we're from Sutton/Grafton, MA. It's tough working though since I go to school in NYC. But we make due. We're a fairly new band seeing as how we've only been together a few months, but right now the band consists of Matt, Ben, and myself who have all been best friends since I can remember.
We haven't begun playing shows because we just started writing our music and the fact that we don't have a drummer (see below) definitely hinders a live show. But we shall press on...We decided to try and make a difference and get our thoughts out to others and make people think a little bit. But also to promote the fact that being different is okay, and the people who try to tell you otherwise don't matter. And if you have suicidal thoughts, although you feel alone you aren't, please, please talk to someone. The three of us have been through a lot and although we may be limping and bandaged we are making our way out on the other side. And we figured the best way to spread that message is through music. So we try. We don't really have a specific genre we fit into because between the three of us we basically listen to just about everything. And it reflects in our music. We have so much fun messing around and creating stuff and we hope that everyone will like what they hear.
There is one thing though - WE NEED A DRUMMER! It's a long, drawn-out, and emo-laden story that we won't get into but we don't have a drummer anymore. So anyone in the 508 area of MA or the NYC area too, send us an email if you're a drummer looking to do something awesome. And lastly if you don't like the sound of the recording I apologize. We recorded it the only way we could right now which was in a garage, with one mic, my laptop, and some free audio software (Audacity). So I swear it sounds better in person!

Between the three of us we listen to just about anything but a quick list would probably be: My Chemical Romance, Rise Against, Nirvana, The Ramones, Coheed and Cambria, Stone Sour, 30 Seconds to Mars, Linkin Park, Fall Out Boy, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Pantera, Metallica, and really anything else we're listening to. We don't like to try and fit in a genre, so we play what we like so really most of our songs sound very different which we like.
