Awake the Suffering provides a systematic chaotic sound of mayhem yet harnesses this power for a ferocious dose of Christian hardcore thrash / metal that makes enough noise to rip through the walls of ancient Jericho. Crosswalk Records' newest and recently featured artist, ATS comes to the table with one of the most brutal sounds to ever be released. Grinding guitar work and guttural vocals tear through the limits of today's trends. Since forming 2 years ago, ATS has already received air time on 94.3 WFNZ Extreme Radio and has been on NBC television affiliated WBIR twice. In addition, ATS has been featured in The Daily Times - Weekend Edition a number of times and has performed a number of benefit shows for various organizations such as The Salvation Army, Welcome Home the Troops, Club Phoenix, the Knox Scene, and a host of other organizations. ATS has played shows in Kentucky, Ohio, Alabama, Georgia, and a various cities in Tennessee such as Nashville, Knoxville, Maryville, Jasper, and Pigeon Forge. In '06 ATS has played over sixty shows alone, and in '07 they are one of Cornerstones' featured acts. Awake the Suffering has played with the likes of Disciple, The Showdown, Seven System, With Faith or Flames, 12 Volt, Negative Earth, Straight Line Stitch, Fall Before the Throne and many other great acts. ATS signed with Crosswalk Records (an independent label) in September of 06 and is currently in the process of a more seasoned album as a follow up to their 10 song full length album.
