I picked up the bass in college after "giving up" my dream of playing the drums... Started playing by myself, then played with my church's youth group for 4 years (technically 3 years, spent 9 months on deployment)...
if "gigs" mean church services, I have played in at least 150 in the 3 year span.
Sadly I haven't played at church since 2015... looking to change that tho
