Looking for other musicians into the same bands/kinds of music I’m into who want to create/record some music. My availability is pretty open and I have my own space to play/record. Would be willing to open up my home for the right person/people, but know I’m a single father and my kid lives with me. I’ve got my sh*t together, am financially stable and have been at this since my teens off and on… used to play semi-pro from my late teens up until my mid/late 20s then had a family, divorce, blah blah and now I’m 40 giving this my Hail Mary pass so to speak ?. With or without anyone else along on this ride I’m moving forward. Would love to find a sick drummer who is familiar with polyrhythms and prog/metal drumming who is technically sound but creative and can groove also. I’m very open minded musically and have a lot of influences all over the place. I grew up playing classical/jazz on trumpet and my heart leans more towards instrumental music of all kinds. I’m not looking to be a copy/paste band, or do covers, or anything if the like. I want to explore different ideas musically and challenge each other to grow and expand as musicians. Anyone with an open mind musically who isn’t opposed to blending genres and styles and trying new things while at the same time understanding that we all still need to “play to what the song calls for” get at me.

Influences
Let me just list some bands off the top of my head I like and have been influenced by.
The smashing pumpkins, tool, deftones, a perfect circle, radiohead, opeth, pantera, meshuggah (that's a few major commercially successful bands)
Instrumental/prog metal/post-rock - Cloudkicker, I built the sky, Sithu Aye, Plini, Polyphia, Scale the Summit, explosions in the sky, Widek, StarSystems, caspian, if these trees could talk, Night Verses, ERRA, Novelists, Periphery, spiritbox, and many more.
I am influenced by a lot more, as well, and open to more than just the genres (the 4) it would let me select.
