We are a bare bones rock&roll band practicing old numbers from the 50's to early 60s (pre-Beatles). We rehearse once a week, 4-5 times a month. 6-10 gigs planned per year, beginning in Spring 2009. This band is strictly for fun!

Influences:

Ray Charles, Bill Haley, very young Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Burnett, Carl Perkins, Young Elvis, The Shadows, Arthur Alexander, Barrett Strong, Larry Williams, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, etc. We are developing a set list from 100+ period specific numbers (well-known and more obscure).

Equipment List:

You don’t need a rack or effects or high priced gear either. In fact, the band philosophy is that LESS IS MORE. So, minimal reliance on effects is preferred. Just your guitar and amp — a tube amp would be nice, but it's not absolutely necessary — plus a bit of talent and the dedication to practice and learn your parts.

Members Of Band:

Bassist/singer (me), lead guitarist (Steve), and drummer (Kenny)with with 50+ years’ experience between us, seeking like-minded second guitarist (for rhythm, some leads, and occasional vocal woork)to play all the cool stuff from the early rock era — Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Young Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Gene Vincent, Buddy Holly, Carl Perkins, and many others from the mid-50s to early-60s.

Rehearsals in my basement once a week with gigs 6-10 times per year. There’s no huge time commitment, no touring, and no searching for a record deal. So, it’s the perfect opportunity for guys with wives, families, and careers, who would still like to play great songs for an audience once in a while.
