Seasoned, capable and eclectic multi-instrumentalist composer looking for like-minded players to write, record and when ready play shows with.
Have been involved in music since the age of eight and have considerable band experience including cover bands, original bands, writing, arranging, and recording. Off-stage I have also provided pro sound and management. I'm primarily a guitarist (electric, acoustic and slide). Though in my heart of hearts keys and bass are secondary, I was playing keys and also tenor and baritone saxophones long before I picked up the guitar (no saxes now though).
It's only fair to mention that though I can read music, for the most part I primarily play and compose by ear, so if you are looking for someone with vast musical knowledge at their fingertips, I am not your guy. I rely on feel rather than flash.
Currently I'm writing and recording in my home studio but want to build a quality band. Need players who can sing or singers who can play..... drums, bass, keys, a 2nd guitar and hopefully horns.
In addition to rock (especially southern rock), I like blues, funk and r&b, and even a bit of light jazz, jazz/rock fusion or latin or country or whatever grooves. As I said above, I am eclectic. It's about what feels good to play, and what sounds good to the ear, and that is how I write. Today may be rock or blues and tomorrow may be country or jazz.
I am mostly interested in collaboration and recording so regular gigs are not necessary ( I'm not about money), but also not out of the question for fun and exposure.
