ABOUT

We are currently two of the four members of a local band from Ames, Iowa called "The Bentguitarist, but we are open minded to jamming with all instruments. Janet plays the mandolin with a unique sound reminiscent of a lead guitar and has played for five years. Chelsea plays the bass and has been playing avidly over a year and half with a strong musical background. She has played the acoustic bass, but just bought a five string jazz bass.We both are dedicated to growing musically and are open to many different types of music. Our band have played a few local shows and people have been very receptive. Unfortunately the other two band members are not as available as we would like to jam and really grow. We incorporate improvisation into our music and try to convert covers into something original. We both sing/play. Janet has a ramblin' story telling voice and Chelsea has a bluesy and sassy voice.
