About
Guitarist with over 30 years of playing and over 10 years of composing experience looking for talented musicians to create original music and perhaps form a band. I am also open to motivated musicians who just want to collaborate on original song or two.
While I have the traditional progressive/Latin rock background (Rush, Santana, Zep, Who) I more realistically like to write more pop rock originals with a nice melodic twist. I also love the Dave Matthews band and write music in the pure acoustic or acoustic rock vein as well.
Influences
Jambalaya was created by Louisiana chefs "sweeping up the kitchen leftovers" and tossing just about everything into the pot. It is traditionally a rice dish with any combination of beef, pork, fowl, smoked sausage, ham, or seafood, as well as celery, green peppers and often tomatoes.
Using the Jambalaya name I mean that I open minded enough to try mixing any good creative input together in order to possibly create some music that is truely new and unique!
Equipment List
Equipment is totally over rated; it’s really talent and a good ear that matter. I do however have quality gear, so don't worry.
Members Of Band
I mainly play acoustic, electric and classical guitar along with some bass and keyboards. I am able to sequence multi-instrument tracks including drums and also have worked with drum loops. I use Cubase 5 in my studio and have very good producing and digital mixing skills as well. I also have an existing working band and a musician network to tap into as well.
The demos here are 100% my originals and I wrote all the parts, played guitars, and sequenced all other instruments, drums included. It's a bit mechanical but they were just demos for other musicians to add live takes and creativity too.
