ABOUT

Description huh? Well, my name's Javier and I'm a bassist. I live in northern California, the Sonoma County area. I used to live in Santa Rosa but moved here to Rohnert Park in '02. I've been a bassist for six years and so far it's been the best thing that's happened to me. I'm extremely passionate about playing, to me jamming with people who know what they're doing is the greatest thing on Earth, better than any drug or anything else I can think of. I'm dedicated as hell to my music, and I don't like when people just dick around, unless you know that's the point and they know what they're doing. Well yeah, I'm not too good on the whole 'explain-your-life-through-text' thing. You really need to talk to me to see what I'm like, but I suppose I'm a chill guy. I'm always open to do projects with people in many different genres, so if you live in the Santa Rosa area or anywhere near it hit me up, I'm always down to jam.

Influences

Well, this is gonna be difficult. fu*k, there's just so many. Well, as a solo artist, I'm influenced by bands like The White Stripes and especially Death From Above 1979, some analog sounding The Kills, Grant from Metroid Metal, and some more weird sh*t like The Left Rights. In general, I like a lot of music people would normally call weird or even not be able to listen to. That side of me is composed of Captain Beefheart, the Butthole Surfers, Arachnid Arcade, again The Left Rights, and most of all Psyopus, which is probably the most solid and insane bands alive. Although I may love it or hate it, at heart, I'm a rock and roll bassist, and I always enjoy MC5, Guitar Wolf, very selective The Who songs, Nirvana's Bleach and pre-recorded songs, definitely THE CRAMPS, man... there's just so much out there, there is no possible way to list them all... Well I'll say this, I like Blues, Proto Punk, Post Punk, Hardcore Punk, Rock n' Roll, Classic Rock (And I do not mean fu*king Zeppelin), slight side of Folk, and surprisingly enough, Psy and Goa Trance.
