ABOUT

I am a guitarist with over 20 years of experience and love everything that is either melodic, rocks or grooves. I spent the first half of that time seriously pursuing a career in the music industry: graduating from GIT and playing in several original bands which played in the largest venues in the Atlanta area. I had a blast playing in the same circuit as Sevendust, Stuck Mojo, Follow for Now and other great GA bands. Now I would like to assemble the best local rock cover band possible with a focus on musicianship, showmanship and having a great time.

I am currently playing with a bass player/singer and a drummer as a strong three-piece, but we are searching for another guitarist and a singer to round out the group. Although we can put on a strong performance with our current lineup, we feel the additions could add depth and color to our rhythms and vocals. We are currently working to assemble a great set of our favorite songs that showcases our skills and talent, but avoids the cliches. It is my experience that chemistry and reliability are more important than technical prowess, so no egos or attitudes please.

I love all kinds of music and have been influenced by countless musicians--not all of them guitarists. I was first attracted to the guitar by early 80's rock, everyone from Def Leppard, Ratt, Dokken, Scorpions, Crew, Ozzy, etc. Most were very melodic and they just seemed to have so much fun. After gaining some proficiency on my instrument, I quickly became attracted to the virtuosos, such as Eddie, Vai, Hedges, Morse and Malmsteen. By trying to understand what these guys were doing I was exposed to other styles of music such as funk, blues, jazz, classical, reggae and the true talents of those genres. While I still love and appreciate aspects of music like syncopation, odd meter, interesting chord movement and substitutions, modes and harmony, I have a great respect for the less obvious things like nuance, dynamics, texture, arrangement and space.
