I'm 39 bassist and am looking for a band primarily in the classic rock/prog rock genre. I'm open to being a cover band, tribute band, or original band. I just want to play! I also have and can play keyboards, but right now want to just focus on bass.
My most recent performance was recording bass on the second album by "Shadow Circus", the NY-Metro based prog-rock band, in 2009. An injury sidelined me from the follow up tour and wish them the best as they are working on their 3rd album!
Influences
As primarily a bassist most of the time, my major influences are that of classic and progressive rock: Rush, Kansas, Yes, etc. I also have a narrow influence from a core group off heavy metal bands in the mid to late 80s as I was performing in a progressive metal band at the time: Iron Maiden, Queensryche, Fates Warning, Ozzy, and DIO.
