NO BAND NAMES YET...

seeking musicians for both small and large groups. No commitment necessary, let's talk if you're interested.

NOTE - don't pay much attention to questions like "years together" and "gigs played" - they don't exactly apply to what I'm trying to accomplish with this site.

-Large group: group vocals (but not necessarily harmonies), group percussion and horns. I lead and arrange for this group. Blues, songs about death, work songs. Albert Ayler's melodic side is big influence. Style is defined but hard to describe - some might say deliberate sloppiness. Focus on rhythmic nuance.

-Leaderless Small group(s) instrumental: blues, american folk melodic, minimalism, improvisation, harmolodics. Influenced by a lot of different Indian and African music. -- instruments guitar, saxophone, and percussion so far. Especially seeking more percussion.

Am I qualified to be a "band leader"? Meet me and you'll find out - my goal is not to be a dictator, but rather to maintain a clear direction. Freedom and individuality are highly encouraged.
