ABOUT

My name is Mike. I have been playing drums professionally since I was 17. I come from a drumming family. My father was the original drummer for 80's Metal Band "Twisted Sister" and my Uncle Ron (Spagnardi) was the creator of Modern Drummer Magazine. I am fluent in all styles of music. I currently play, tour, and record with Blind Pig recording artists "Peter Karp and Sue Foley". Other artists I have played, recorded, or gigged with include Sheryl Crow, John Mayer, Mike Tichy, Popa Chubby, Wu-Tang Clan, Felix Pastorius (Jaco's son), Ravi Coltrane (John Coltrane's son).

EQUIPMENT

5 different drum kits ranging from a 63' Slingerland to a custom made maple kit (my main gigging kit), various snare drums, various Zildjian cymbals (vintage to modern models), various percussion. The gear I use depends on what type of gig it is.
