LOOKING TO PLAY LEAD and SING IN PRO BAND-Classic rock, originals and/or Blues.Contact me at JEFFAAUSTIN@. I have been signed to several major record companies in the past.
I believe the band should put on a show - I have seen "bands" lately actually reading the lyrics from a book and standing like robots - might as well just put a CD player on the stage!
Unbelieveable!
I work well with others; I am professional; I do not get too loud, I listen to the other musicians, I never "step on other musician's toes". I do not have to be "The Star", I just want to create music with the band and help make us sound great! I just love to play. I can fax song lists upon request. Half my bands have been original. Many were 50-50. Lots of Blues. Played with Taj Mahal in 1967,Hooker in '72, Canned Heat from time to time and many others. Mostly Stones-Chuck Berry-Trower-J. Cocker-Creedence-Blues type stuff, but I can play nearly anything. The main photo is current (10/2009), the first photo is during my wild days with The Hot Lucy Band with the flame show at a concert where I lit my SG on fire from the two 6' columns of smokeless gunpowder in pods set off by a footswitch during the last note of the last song every night. Lighter fluid back of an SG is not hot so it does not hurt the guitar. The bottom photo is Randy Castillo & I at The Roxy (Ozzie's drummer for 5 years - played in my band before that). (These photos are so distorted.)Email: JEFFAAUSTIN@

Influences:

Lead guitar, like Robin Trower meets Eric Clapton meets Jimi Hendrix meets The Kinks combo, but my own style.(I have seen them all). I can play soft, med & hard rock, orig. or lots of 70's & 80's covers. But mostly looking for a good band with vocals who listen to each other; no drugs, excessive alcohol or smoking (to the point any of those interferes with the music)and no egos, please. Play together as one unit. I don't need to be the "star". Let's rock!

Equipment List:

I have a 1000 watt PA w/ 2 1,000 watt Yahama speakrs on stands and seperate 125 watt moniter amp/mixer + 9 speakers for stage monitors , 3 guitar amps of different sizes so, for example, if we play a very small venue, I use the beefed-up Squire with 1-8" speaker turned up. That gets the dance/blues sound but does not hurt any ears.
My club amp is usually the 60's Fender Deluxe Reverb 30 watt with a new 12'' Celestion. I play Gibson SG's and a Yahama Acoustic-electric. I have a selection of pedals.
