SEEKING
Band to Join.ABOUT
I began playing bass guitar professionally when I was 8 years old with my Dad's traveling Southern Gospel Quartet. I first learned to play jazz in the high school jazz band. Since then I've been part of many bands in various genres - Rock, Pop, Country, Jazz, R&B, Acoustic, Lounge, etc. Check out my playing at: ://./view_play_list?p=FF1291AA80C27A35
I moved to Nashville in January 2011 and joined the local music scene pretty quickly. I play often with Tiger Gagan's band Wild Animal with Mississippi Mille, I've gigged with Michael Ward and Craig James, and have begun an R&B band with Angela Johnson and Brandon Boozer. Looking for paying gigs, recording sessions, pickup bands, whatever. I have a wife and two small children so long term touring not an option right now, although I have done the occasional fly date.
I live in South Franklin and I work a day job at Opryland Hotel. email me at: jeremycarter (at) sbcglobal (dot) net

Influences
James Jamerson is a top influence. Love the groove and vibe of the Motown stuff. I also love Rocco Prestia and Roscoe Beck. Of course we all appreciate the masters - Wooten, Oteil, Jaco, etc. but my playing is much more mainstream than those cats.
Things I'm listening to in my iTunes right now: Aquarium Rescue Unit, Tal Wilkenfeld, Carlton & Lukather Live in Osaka, Robben Ford, Weckl Band ,Diana Krall, Michael Buble, and lots of other stuff :-)
