About
I have been playing the drums since childhood and I have 4 years experience playing as a profession. I work full time right now and I am very dedicated to my job. I am however, still very passionate about music. I do not want to join a band that is going to, and only going to practice. Practice is important, but supporting my hobby, getting paid, is a much needed perk. I have a wide variety of musical influences. I will not be involved in metal, thrash, hardcore, or strictly counrty music. It is just not my style; props to those musicians though. I have an ecclectic drumming style as a result of the range of music that I listen to. I have always been the only chick in the band(five bands in the past 7 years); so, boys don't be too intimidated. I do not want to be a cover band and a cover band only. Original music is the reason to play. Covering is a second income. I am willing to put this band before my current place of employment, but in no way will I do that if i don't feel that it is logical. Plus, I love my job. By the way, I do rotate shifts bi-weekly. 6:30am-4:00pm and 4:30pm-2:00am. Scheduling will be a task. I will only be available for shows when I am on first shift(6:30am-4:00pm). I do have my own means of transporting my equipment(Pearl Fusion- 5 piece- Standard kit, hard-cased). I also have quite a few contacts in and around Birmingham, St. Clair Co., and Gadsden, AL from prior business.
Influences
carter beauford, john bonham, the who, ingrid michaelson, UB40, michael franti, my morning jacket, ray lamontagne, marc broussard, maroon 5(early), death cab for cutie, postal service, justin timberlake, stevie wonder, al green, bill whithers, kings of leon, and many more.
Equipment List
pearl vision 5-piece, pearl hardware, zildjian cymbals. (not fancy but great road drums with good sound)
