ABOUT

LOOKING FOR ZZ TOP DRUMMER!

Been doing the tribute thing for the past several years and enjoy it a lot. Has several advantages (IMO) over regular cover band work. The biggest advantage is the severe reduction in friction over choosing songs. That is always a hassle in traditional cover music.

Lately been fronting a Deep Purple tribute act letting me really stretch out vocally. Was doing Ace in a KISS tribute before that. Now I've partnered with my brother John McGill to start up a ZZ TOP tribute band. We think if done right, we could get a lot of jobs from that. I have a marketing plan in mind that I think will work. Were both employed professionally, so looking to gig only once or twice a month. We're talking outfits moves, guitars, the whole show. We've based a playlist off of the Live in Texas album from 2007. See what I mean, setlist, song choices are done.

We love to play and entertain audiences, not ourselves. Looking to advertise to play events, picnics, biker parties, clubs and things like that.
